The offerings received for June (4 weeks) amounted to £1,463.26.   At 30 June the Community Project Fund (previously called the kitchen & hall project) amounted £10,721.

The House Group will meet for Bible Study on July 27th at 8pm at No. 5 Cloverley Ct – all are welcome.

If anyone is travelling to Guernsey with a car during the next few weeks and would be prepared to transport some paperwork, that needs to be taken to Rev David Coote’s successor as Chair of District, then please contact Rev Graeme Halls on 722093.  Thank you.

A reminder that the ‘The Bible In A Year’ readings for this week are listed in the adjacent box.  The year started on 1st January and there are a few pages to read each day. 

If you manage to keep it going all year you will have read the whole of the Bible. To share our thoughts and questions, there will be a Bible Fellowship every other Wednesday evening at at the home of Donald & Sue Reid and it is hoped that people from other churches will also want to join the fellowship. Please do not feel you have to commit yourself to coming every week, we will only be looking at the readings from the previous week so you can dip in and out as you are able.

Recipe Fundraiser

 

Shirley Downs would like to thank everyone who donated the many and varied recipes for the new fundraiser recipe book. 

It is now in the final stages of production and will be going to print in September.  Thank you Shirley, for having the inspiration and drive to put this together. We eagerly await its arrival, I am sure it will sell like hot cakes!

 

The Bay Methodist Church invite you to an afternoon Garden Party Sat July 31st from 2.30pm  - proceeds to be shared between church funds and Holidays  for Heroes.

SUNDAY 18th JULY at 6.30pm at Bethlehem Methodist Church - Special ISRAEL SERVICE.  Members of the group who travelled out to Israel in May will be sharing their thoughts through the readings they did in Israel as well as speaking about what was special to them about the trip. Photos will be shown portraying the essence of the tour throughout the service, and there will also be a wonderful time of Praise and Worship through the songs that were sung whilst in the Holy Land.  Please come and join us!!!
