CHURCH MISSION STATEMENT

We will provide opportunity for worship, service, mission and mutual support among our Church family, presenting an inclusive welcome to the neighbourhood and aiming to be a visible presence in the community. We will develop our premises further to be an attractive flexible and useful asset to our worship, ministry, and mission.

                                AIMS FOR 2009/10

.  We will open the Church during the week, for fellowship and to respond to the needs of our community. We will meet with people who live alone, or who are lonely or in care or who live in residential homes.

.  We will be a listening and discerning Church.

.  We will participate in prayer without ceasing, and encourage fellowship, Bible study and will hold worship open to all including Maison La Corderie.

.  We will seek ways to increase our links with Toddlers parents.

.  We wish to work with the local community and The Women’s Refuge.

.  We commit to providing regular services for the deaf community. (Quarterly)

.  We will encourage and develop our  children’s work using Boy’s Brigade and Girl’s Brigade and the Activity Group.

.  We will increase the amount of training for Lay people as  appropriate and endorse Disciple and Worship Leaders’ Courses.

.  We will make every effort to attract new members each year.

.  We will seek ways of maintaining and developing helpful links with  other churches.

We are a church who takes the care and safety of all its users very seriously.  ALL of our church officers working with children and young people, all our ministers and preachers have had Safeguarding checks through the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) in the UK.

With us you are safe.
